How to Prepare a Screw Flight Quotation Request
A practical checklist for sending screw flight dimensions, material, rotation hand, quantity and application details.
Start with the finished geometry
Provide the outside diameter, inside diameter, pitch, thickness, hand and required finished length. Mark whether each value comes from an approved drawing, an existing sample or a field measurement.
Add material and operating information
State the required material grade when it is known. Application details such as the conveyed material, operating environment and known wear conditions help the manufacturing route to be reviewed without treating a generic example as a confirmed specification.
Include quantity and assembly details
Give the required quantity and show how the flight connects to the shaft, tube or neighbouring segment. Photographs of the existing assembly can support the review, but the final geometry should be recorded on an agreed drawing.
