What information should I send for a screw flight quotation?

Send the outside diameter, inside diameter, pitch, thickness, material, hand, finished length and quantity. A drawing or photographs of the mating shaft and application help confirm the manufacturing route.

Can you review a requirement without a finished drawing?

Yes. A sample, marked-up photograph or the dimensions already known can start the discussion. Final production still requires an approved drawing or an agreed dimension record.

How do I choose between continuous and sectional flighting?

Continuous flighting suits many repeatable conveyor and auger duties. Sectional flighting is often considered for larger diameters, thicker plate, special materials or geometry that is impractical to form continuously.

Which materials can be reviewed?

Carbon steel and stainless steel cover many applications. Manganese or wear-resistant grades may be considered for suitable duties, subject to grade, thickness, forming and welding review.

Can replacement screw flights be produced from a sample?

A sample can be useful when a drawing is unavailable. Include overall dimensions, rotation hand, shaft or mounting details, application photographs and any known wear or corrosion conditions.

What information is needed to select a screw flight forming machine?

Provide representative flight drawings, material grades, strip or plate range, planned batch sizes, output target, factory voltage and a basic workshop layout. Machine scope and tooling are then reviewed together.
