Square-Bar Flexible Auger
Flexible helical auger formed from square-section bar and reviewed with the conveying tube, route and drive.
Engineering fit
Built around the dimensions, material and production target that matter
A flexible auger made from a square-section profile, with the bar section, coil geometry and installed tube route reviewed as one system.
Use the stated range as a practical starting point. We confirm the final configuration against your drawing, material and operating conditions.

A cross-section-specific auger
This flexible auger is formed from square-section bar rather than a flat strip. The cross-section is visible at the cut end and must be included in the drawing or replacement measurements.
Match the complete route
Provide tube inside diameter, total route length, bend positions, elevation changes, feed and discharge points and the available drive location. The auger cannot be checked accurately as an isolated coil when it will operate inside an existing tube route.
Replacement measurement
For a replacement, record the outside diameter, pitch, hand, free length and square-bar dimensions. Photograph both end connections and show how the coil engages with the drive. If the old coil is distorted, use tube and equipment dimensions as additional references.
When to choose this option
Choose this page when the required or existing auger clearly uses a square-section profile. For a general spring-steel coil and complete route discussion, see Flexible Auger. For production equipment, review the Flexible Auger Forming Machine.

Frequently asked questions
Use these answers as a starting point. Final geometry, material and equipment scope are confirmed from the project information.
Why specify the bar cross-section?
The square profile is a defining feature of this product. Bar size, corner condition and coil geometry affect fit with the tube and drive arrangement.
What should be measured from an existing coil?
Measure outside diameter, pitch, hand, free length and the square-bar section. Also provide the tube inside diameter and photographs of both ends.
Can the auger be selected without the tube route?
It should not be. Route length, bends, elevation changes, conveyed material and drive position all affect the practical system review.
Is this the same as a flat-strip flexible auger?
No. The square-section bar gives a different cross-section. If the existing auger uses another profile, send a clear section measurement before quotation.
