Integrated forming and welding

The supplied product material describes a workflow that winds the spiral on the pipe directly and welds at the same time. This reduces handling between the two stages.

Pipe and strip inputs

Provide pipe outside diameter, wall thickness, grade, straightness and prepared-end condition. For the spiral strip, state width, thickness, grade, edge condition, pitch, outside diameter and hand. The proposal must also identify how pipe and strip are loaded, located and supported through the working cycle.

Production review

Confirm pipe size, strip, pitch, finished ground screw length, weld requirements and the required supporting equipment before finalising the line.

One coordinated production step

The machine family is intended to place the spiral directly around the pipe and complete the weld during the same working sequence. This creates a more direct route between raw tube preparation and the finished ground screw assembly.

Weld process scope

Define the required joint position, weld process, weld size, continuity, start/stop treatment and inspection standard. The quotation should separate forming equipment, welding power source, torch or seam tracking, extraction and inspection responsibilities so an integrated description is not mistaken for an undefined complete welding package.

Line interfaces

Show the upstream pipe preparation step and the downstream cutting, point forming, drilling, coating or inspection operations. Include loading height, transfer direction, buffer requirements and whether the machine must communicate with existing equipment. Interface details are confirmed around the buyer's actual production flow.

Safety and utilities

Confirm electrical supply, compressed air and extraction requirements, along with the factory's welding-fume, fire-protection and guarding standards. Provide the workshop floor plan, material-handling method and safe access around rotating pipe and welding equipment. Final protection and utility scope belongs in the approved technical offer.

Configuration inputs

The reference pipe set includes 48, 76, 89, 108 and 114 mm diameters. Send the tube grade, wall thickness, strip, flight profile, weld standard and output target so the proposal can confirm whether the standard pitch and diameter examples suit the required product.

Frequently asked questions

Use these answers as a starting point. Final geometry, material and equipment scope are confirmed from the project information.

What pipe and strip information is needed for a proposal?

Send pipe OD, wall thickness, grade, length and end condition together with strip width, thickness, grade, pitch, flight OD and hand.

Is the welding power source included automatically?

Not automatically. The quotation should define forming equipment, welding source, torch or seam tracking, extraction, inspection and any buyer-supplied equipment.

Which line interfaces must be confirmed?

Show upstream pipe preparation and downstream cutting, drilling, point finishing, coating or inspection, including loading height, transfer direction and buffer space.

What utilities should be stated?

Provide voltage, phase, frequency, compressed-air availability, fume extraction and the destination factory's fire, guarding and operator-safety requirements.

Can several ground screw sizes be reviewed for one line?

Yes. Provide the smallest, largest and most difficult product drawings and identify batch sizes, changeover expectations and the required spiral positions on each pipe.
