Cold rolling principle

Metal strip passes through a roller system arranged for the required spiral parameters. The material is continuously deformed at room temperature to form a screw flight while retaining the material's mechanical properties.

Before selecting a model

Confirm strip width and thickness, required inside diameter and outside diameter, material, target output and whether the product will run continuously or in shorter batches.

Production capability

GX60-4S is the compact end of the cold-rolling range. Its documented figures provide an initial screening reference, but a suitable production range cannot be decided from strip width or outside diameter alone. ID, OD, pitch, thickness, material behaviour and the required flight length must be reviewed together against representative drawings.

Installation inputs

Confirm available floor space, material loading direction, coil support, strip straightening, finished-flight take-off, operator access and downstream cutting or welding. A dimensioned workshop layout helps define clearances and the interfaces around the forming unit.

Electrical supply and controls

Send the factory voltage, phase, frequency and available connected load before quotation. Final motors, control components, protection and cable requirements are confirmed for the destination supply rather than assumed from a generic machine listing.

Tooling and drawing review

Roller and guide selection follows the intended product family. Provide drawings for the smallest flight, the largest flight and any difficult geometry, together with strip grade and coil condition. Tooling scope and trial material should be listed in the technical proposal.

GX60-4S quote checklist

  • Flight OD, ID, pitch, thickness, hand and required length
  • Strip width, material grade, coil size and incoming condition
  • Expected product mix, batch size and working pattern
  • Factory voltage, phase, frequency and available power

  • Required coil handling, straightening, cut-off and take-off equipment
  • Drawings or samples for the minimum, maximum and most difficult flight

Before quotation

Frequently asked questions

Use these answers as a starting point. Final geometry, material and equipment scope are confirmed from the project information.

Is GX60-4S suitable for every flight within the listed headline range?

No. The complete OD, ID, pitch, strip width, thickness, material and finished length must be checked from representative drawings before the working range is confirmed.

What electrical information is required?

Provide factory voltage, phase, frequency, available connected load and any local control-component requirements. Final electrical scope is stated in the quotation.

Which tooling inputs should the buyer send?

Send the smallest, largest and most difficult flight drawings, plus strip grade, coil dimensions, incoming condition and planned batch sizes.

What workshop information is needed?

Provide a floor plan with feed direction, coil-loading method, lifting equipment, operator access, finished-flight support and the intended cut-off or assembly area.
